    • Why Sweetist?

      We understand you have multiple options through which to order food delivery. However, almost all of these options are centered on savory foods. Also, there’s so many options, it sometimes makes your head spin!

      Sweetist solves both of these problems! First, we focus solely on sweets: cupcakes, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, etc. You crave it, we obsess over it, and we can bring it to you at the click of a button. Second, we select the best city bakeries to work with – you know, those ones you’ve heard about but can’t always get to easily.

      In a nutshell, we make the discovery, purchase, and enjoyment of the best city sweets and desserts a piece of cake. Pun intended.

    • How do I use Sweetist?

      Sweetist organizes desserts by bakery and by dessert type for sweet and easy searchability. First select a bakery or dessert type, and then select the dessert(s) you want to purchase by adding them to your cart. Once you are done, you go to your cart, select a delivery day and time, then checkout using our secure checkout.

      We will quickly confirm your order by email and assign it to a local courier, who will fetch your dessert and bring it right to you. Then, we will keep you notified of the status of your sweets via email.

    • How do you decide what bakeries to partner with?

      Our team is composed of a diverse group of professionals whose one common bond is a love of desserts. We also value and seek the opinions of customers, bakery owners, and food journalists when deciding on which bakeries to partner with, with the goal of finding and sharing delicious dessert experiences with you.   • Ordering

    • Can I order for pick-up?

      Yes, orders can be made for pick up, please select the ‘pick-up’ option in the dropdown box when placing your order.

    • Can I add to or change my order after I place it?

      Yes, you may email us at to change or update your order if it has not been confirmed. However, if your order has been confirmed, we may not be able to change it.

    • When will my confirmation email arrive?

      You should receive your confirmation email within 5 minutes of placing your order. Please check your spam folder to make sure it has not been placed there. If you cannot find the confirmation email, contact us at or phone us at (646)-979-9255.

      You can check the status of your order in your Order History in your Account.

    • How can I check my order status?

      We will email you status updates as your order is being processed and delivered. You can always contact us directly at (646)-979-9255, with your order number, to find out the status of your order.

    • I can’t find a certain product on your online menu. Why is that?

      We typically carry select products from each bakery rather than the full assortment you might encounter if you were making your purchase in-store. The reasons for this vary, but may include: (a) the product is too fragile for courier delivery, (b) the product is not available on a consistent basis, or (c) the product requires specific handling needs. We strive to ensure your desserts arrive in the finest condition so you can enjoy them the way the bakery intended.

    • Can I purchase items from multiple bakeries?

      Yes, however you would need to checkout multiple times, as one order is limited to items from just one bakery. This enables us to process your order quickly and deliver your desserts to you in the most efficient manner possible. If you wish to make a large order consisting of items from multiple bakeries, please see our Corporate Accounts page to get set up with a Sweetist customer representative who can work with you directly to make this happen.     • Do you provide catering services?

      Yes. We offer many sweets and desserts available in larger quantities which are suitable for small-to-medium sized groups and businesses. For larger and more complex orders and for catered events, please contact us via the Corporate Accounts page.

    • Why did the bakery cancel my order?

      On rare occasions, a bakery may be forced to cancel your order if they are unable to fulfill your order and find an acceptable alternative. In these situations, the bakery will reach out to you directly shortly after your order is made. If a solution is not found, your order will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.

    • My order has arrived and something is wrong with it, what do I do?

      If there is a problem with your order, please email us at or call us at (646)-979-9255 so that we can adjust the order for our billing purposes.

    • How do I make a return / obtain a refund?

      Orders that are cancelled shortly after confirmation will not be charged and you will receive a full refund. Typically, pre-orders that are cancelled at least 24 hours in advance are entitled to a full refund -- this is not always possible in situations where a lead-time or special order is involved. Orders, which have been processed and/or delivered, may not be returned for refund. However, orders, which are incorrect and/or damaged during delivery, may be entitled to a refund on a case-by-case basis.

    • How do I leave feedback about my order?

      After your order has been fulfilled you will receive an email from Sweetist with a link to rate and review your satisfaction with your order. Please leave a review as our future customers depend on your honest feedback and the bakeries value your comments.

  • Delivery

    • Where does Sweetist deliver?

      In New York City, we are delivering in Manhattan from Downtown FiDi all the way up to 97th St. We’ll be expanding soon so if we don’t serve you now, please stay tuned!

    • What are your delivery hours?

      We typically provide delivery services from when the bakery opens until the bakery closes or until 9pm, whichever is the latest. This means the latest time you can place your order is an hour before the 9pm closing time. After this time orders may be made for delivery for the next day or a future date. In some cases, bakeries may specify limited pick up times or delivery hours.

    • Who will be making the delivery?

      Deliveries will be made by our third party courier partners. We have relationships with experienced teams through the city, all of whom are professional and have an ID with them at all times.

  • Gift Concierge

    • How many gifts can I select for each recipient?

      Up to 3 items can be selected, however, there may be additional shipping costs depending on which items have been selected and which bakeries the items are from.

    • How much is shipping?

      In our current Manhattan delivery area, shipping charges range from $7.99 to $15.99 for each gift delivery, with additional weekend charges of $7 per delivery. The charges are determined based on the bakery the items are being purchased from and the recipient's location. Please see the "Delivery Area" tab in this file for more detail.

      For gift concierge orders, we also will be supporting Brooklyn, Queens, Hoboken, Jersey City as a special offering under our gift concierge program. Delivery prices for these areas will be quoted after we receive your completed gift concierge template. Please contact us directly for other areas.

    • How will I pay?

      Once you have submitted your completed gift template and your information using our website, we will respond to you and collect your payment details. If you're already a Sweetist customer, we can charge the card on file, if applicable. You will be charged for each individual gift, as each one may have different delivery charges.

    • How can I track the status of these orders?

      Every gift order for each of your recipients will exist as a unique order. So, you'll be informed by email of the confirmation, shipment, and delivery of each individual gift.

    • Can I add a card or other collateral to these gifts?

      For an additional fee of $2 per recipient, this can be done if the gift items selected are from the same bakery.

    • Will the recipient see the price of the order?

      The prices will not be shown since the receipt is only included via email to the purchaser.

    • Will my order be gift wrapped?

      We will have to ask the specific bakery if the gifts will be gift wrapped - If you make this a request on your form, we will contact the bakery and find out if there are charges involved and get back to you with the confirmation.

    • What happens in the case that the recipient is not there for perishable items?

      We will return the items to the bakery and ask whether you would like to select another delivery date. This will incur another delivery fee. Typically our courier will wait 10 minutes to drop an item off to the recipient, if there are any problems contacting the recipient or dropping the items off we will call the recipient. If we cannot reach the recipient then we will contact the sender. If there is no answer or more than a 15 minute wait we will contact the send ask what to do. Please be advised that there will be an additional delivery charge if there is a change in address when the order is approved.

    • Do I get a discount for larger orders?

      Yes! 5% for $150+ in total value of gift orders made, 10% for $300+, 15% for $500+.

    • How soon in advance do I have to order?

      You will need to place your order at least 48 hours in advance of the delivery date unless a specific product has a longer lead up time.

  • Payments and Pricing

    • Does it cost anything to join Sweetist?

      No. Sweetist costs nothing to join – you only pay for what you order from our partner bakeries.

    • Why do we charge a delivery fee?

      To deliver your order, Sweetist works with delivery partners to provide a supplementary service to the bakery. Unlike Seamless, Grubhub or, the businesses we partner with do not typically have delivery staff. Our goal is to connect Sweetists (you!) with the best desserts the city has to offer. To make delivery available to a wide swatch of sweet-lovers, we charge a small delivery fee based on your distance from the bakery you are ordering from.

    • Why do you charge a service fee?

      A service fee of 15% is applied to your subtotal for each Sweetist purchase. We strive to provide our customers with a premium service which matches the great products our bakeries produce. Collecting a small service fee allows us to work with great logistics partners, provide you top-notch customer support, and deliver an overall, great experience for you.

    • Are my credit card details safe with Sweetist?

      Yes; using your card is safe with Sweetist and your payment details are never recorded in any database, cookie or browser session; your payment information and data is encrypted using SSL.

    • Where can I see my Sweetist receipt?

      You can find downloadable receipts on your ‘My Orders’ section of your Account page. You will also have a receipt emailed directly to you following the processing of your payment following an order.
